Respirator Program
We will develop a written set of policies and procedures
for administering a Respirator Program based upon the air
sampling results that your Workers' Compensation Carrier will
provide. These policies and procedures will conform with 29
CFR 1910.134, 29 CFR 1910.1001, and CCR Title 8, Sections
5144 and 5208. We will guide you in its implementation, which
includes the following tasks:
- Verifying the locations, work assignments and personnel
subject to the Cal/OSHA respirator standard.
- Preparing and installing a written Respirator Program,
to include respirator training and fit testing.
- Monitoring baseline pulmonary function testing and subsequent
annual retesting, (normally done by your medical clinic).
- Conducting initial respirator training and certification
of employees in the use, care and maintenance of ANSI approved
equipment.
