Lockout/Tag-Out Program

We will develop a Lockout/Tag-out Program in conformance with the applicable Cal/OSHA standard governing electrical and other energized equipment. Our work will include:

  1. Preparing written policy and guidelines for identifying where and when Lockout/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures are required, and for defining and carrying out proper LOTO procedures and actions, including training and recordkeeping.
  2. Preparing written procedures for safely securing energized equipment prior to undertaking repair, maintenance, adjustments or other activities that potentially involve hazardous human entry or contact.
  3. Providing written questionnaires and forms for your personnel to use in determining which machines, operations and employees are subject to the Program and in collecting the data on which the program is built.
  4. Providing limited assistance and support to your personnel in the Program's implementation, to ensure that those who will be using the Program have a working knowledge and familiarity with its intent and are able to gain experience in administering it.
  5. Training and recordkeeping provisions.
  6. If you desire, we will take participants through a complete LOTO cycle: identifying a qualifying situation; preparing and testing appropriate procedures; monitoring the results; planning and conducting the training; creating the discipline; and completing the proper documentation.
