Health and Safety
Strategic HR provides clients with comprehensive workplace
safety programs to ensure they comply with mandated environmental,
health and safety rules and regulations. Under the direction
of safety expert George R. Graff, who has more than 30 years
of experience in the field of health, safety and environmental
consulting, Strategic HR can provide clients with the following
four mandated safety programs which are required by California
law for all employers regardless of size or type of business:
Injury And
Illness Prevention Program (IIPP): California
law (SB198) requires companies to have an IIPP. Failure to
comply may result in heavy fines and shut-downs for the company,
as well as criminal and civil prosecution of company officers
and supervisors. Strategic HR can provide a cost-effective,
fully compliant IIPP that can help reduce industrial accidents,
injury rates, and workers' compensation premiums, and increase
employee productivity and morale.
Hazard Communication Program:
Preparation of a written Hazard Communication Program in conformance
with the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(Cal/OSHA) standard, including guidance on its implementation.
Emergency Action and Evacuation Plan:
Preparation of an Emergency Preparedness and Response
Plan, which includes providing the guidance and direction
needed in its implementation. The plan will double as an Emergency
Business and Contingency Plan to be filed with appropriate
agencies, eliminating the need for duplicated reporting and
recordkeeping.
Fire Prevention Plan: Our Fire
Prevention Plans conform to the Cal/OSHA standard. They include
identifying potential fire hazards, their proper handling
and storage procedures; potential ignition sources and their
control; and the type of fire protection equipment and/or
systems which can control a fire involving employees.
