Affirmative Action Plans

Strategic HR Services' comprehensive affirmative action plans (AAP) enable clients to comply with the appropriate equal opportunity guidelines necessary to bid on contracts with the federal government. Companies must have a current written AAP if they are a non-construction contractor who:

  • Has 50 or more employees, and
  • Has or wishes to have a government contract of $50,000.00 or more, or
  • Has a total of $50,000.00 in government business in any 12 month period, or
  • Serves as a depository of government funds in any amount, or
  • Is a financial institution which issues and pays U.S. savings bonds and notes in any amount.

Failure to prepare an acceptable and comprehensive AAP may result in your company being prevented from doing business with the government or their contractors, and the need to " show cause " why enforcement proceedings should not be instituted by the Office of Federal Contracts & Compliance. We guarantee that your AAP format will meet the federal government's requirements.

The following outlines the components of our program:

  • We generate the 15 required reports that are statistical analyses of your company compared to the census data in your recruiting area that match the jobs specifically available in your company.
  • We train you on implementation procedures and provide you with standard forms to help you document your equal opportunity practices.
  • We identify any discrimination trends the company may have, and provide you with reasonable goals and timetables for resolution.
  • Once we obtain your employee data, you normally will receive a completed AAP within 30 days.
  • We are available to advise and assist you in case of an audit.
