If you have a topic that we are able to design, we will help you determine if it is feasible to design and deliver, or we can work with your internal subject matter expert to assist in the development of the program.
The difference between off-the-shelf programs and customized programs is like the difference between a TV dinner and a gourmet meal. Rather than a generic approach, customized programs are tailored to your organization and industry. That means employees immediately apply the knowledge they gained, which gives the company faster results.
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
The goal of on-the-job training, whether for new or ongoing employees, is to ensure there is a precise match between the requirements of the job and the skills and competencies of employees. We can take a look at your current OJT process and consult with your subject matter experts to refine it. Or, we can assist in designing an OJT program from the ground up. We also have the capability to design job aids and checklists critical to each role in your business unit.
Customized Self-Directed Workbooks
All employees at all levels should be tasked with continuous development. We don't often have the time to attend a series of training programs, and many programs may not be easily available to everyone. Self-directed workbooks can be used to reinforce newly-learned skills or augment skills that managers need to effectively manage the daily operation. We may include various levels of workbooks and a variety of activities that can apply to many industries. These workbooks can do the following:
- provide focused, on-the-job training
- be a test for those who should already know these requirements
- be a process to determine if a promotion is appropriate
Many people learn best through visual aids to demonstrate the proper way of conducting a task or procedure. We can design and create job aids that assist employees in remembering some of the critical points or processes associated with their job function or task.
